I CAN do it...and YOU can too!

This 100 Articles/100 Days challenge is a great motivator! You may be thinking, "Wow, can I really do this?". But you know, I truly believe that what we say to ourselves both internally and also out loud is what comes to pass. So, I would ask you to agree with me that we are going to "do this thing" and complete those 100 articles in 100 days!

If you came to the party late, just start where you are...today! You CAN catch up! And, as Jeff says, even if for some reason you only make it to 50 or 75 articles, or even fewer, those are more articles that you will have than when you started!

There are great benefits waiting for you! So, set a goal for yourself right now, daily, weekly, and monthly. Tell yourself and the world that you CAN do it! And, let's agree to help keep each other accountable and motivated.

I am looking forward to reading your posts and articles!

How to Write and Submit 100 Articles and Stay Motivated - Create a Visual!

As I sat at my desk this morning, sifting through a pile of 3 weeks worth of sticky notes of writing ideas, I was still overwhelmed thinking about my goal of completing 100 articles within 100 days. I was trying to organize my thoughts, when I found a note I took at a recent seminar.

Written on the note was a great idea about how to learn or achieve anything that seems overwhelming within a specified amount of time. The idea is to break down the entire project into smaller, bite-sized pieces so… Continue

A Big Challenge Calls for a Different Way to Make It Happen...

I am excited today not only because I have submitted article #3 of the HAHD challenge, but I think it may be a way to help not only myself but others to stay motivated in the challenge. It should be coming in the next few days and I will share with everyone.

In the interim....keep going and keep writing!!!

Being at #2 is Exciting! (We Try Harder...)

I am excited to say that I just finished submitting my 2nd HAHD article over at Ezine Articles. My first one was accepted and I have already been designated as an Expert Author.

You may wonder why I would be excited about having written only my second article for this challenge, as I should have written about 7 times that many by now! But my excitement is that this article could very well be turned into my first ebook or give away for those who sign up at my website.

The greatest things about… Continue

I Have a Confession (or three) to Make....

When I saw the email invitation for the call to start the 100 Days/100 Articles challenge, I must confess that I really didn't intend to sign up at all. But, due to all the buzz, my intention was just to safely listen in stealth mode so I would be "in the know". Then, I noticed that after I signed up here on Ning for the call, my name and page were automatically included and I was already showing up as a member of the marathon challenge! (Who knew?!)

So, I started thinking about the fact that I… Continue

You know, Sheri, that is what I thought Jeff said, but I must say that I didn't really understand it. What I didn't understand is why you would publish an article in Ezine Articles and in the resource box refer people back to your blog or other website to almost the exact same article that was only 20% different than what they had just read. That just made no sense to me. I would think that you would refer them to your opt-in page to build your list and offer them some bonus for opting in. Did I misunderstand something?

Hi Sheri, I love reading your messages. I wasn't going to write you back until I had submitted my first article, but then I didn't want to be rude, either, and I'm pretty close and may get it submitted tonight. I have about 350-400 words now, but not in finished form yet. I heard your Question on the Teleseminar tonight, at least I think it was yours - from Sheri. He read one from me, too about 2 URL's in your resouce box, which he says is not ok or not as effective for marketing. Take care, David @ZenDoc

Your comment made me giggle (tee hee). I edit myself "to death" as well-to the point of procrastination as someone else put it. I am struggling at this point, because I feel as though I have nothing to say. My daughter and I had a conversation this morning about adoption. I said, "Why don't you blog about that?" Then I thought, "Why don't I blog about that?" So, maybe I will!

Sherri, Thanks for your message and your concern. I am still "getting going" writing ideas and some paragraphs, but I haven't polished it up to have one article to submit to Ezine Articles yet. I have to push past my procrastination and my perfectionism. I enjoy your writing. You seem very kind and caring. I've been busy with several things including 3 computer crashes - and my laptop with most of my stuff on it appears to be shot. I'm going to see if I can get everything off the hard drive. I really think I have to avoid HP laptops - they seem to be the most frail - planned obsolescence I think. Anyway, this isn't even a legitimate excuse. I've had plenty of time to do the articles ... I just have to do them. - David B. aka ZenDoc On Twitter @ZenDoc

Hi Sheri,

It's ironic that people post the very things we know for ourselves, but in fact we tell ourselves, "Nah, that's too simplistic, or that can't be right". What people might not realize, and that I KNOW is that just because one is an English teacher doesn't make us writers! Look forward to gleaning from you! : )

Hi Sherri! *waving*

Thank you for all of your insightful comments. It is certainly good to know that I am not alone. I was beginning to wonder. Reading your advice has definitely helped me to relax and breathe. I agree, setting writing goals that are manageable for me is exactly what I am going to do.

I'd be more than happy to team up with you. Thank you for the offer.

Peace & Blessings.

Hi Sheri: How are you doing? Today I actually wrote 3 articles. So I'm ahead right now, which will put me in a good place if there is a day I can't, don't want to, or have no clue what to write. Here's a question for you to answer. The answers will help you with your articles: What makes you come alive? What, when you are thinking or actually in the activity of, makes you feel like you can go on and on and on? The answers that came to me from this question made a huge impact on my life. It came as a result of this quote: "Don't ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and then go and do it?" Howard Thurman. I come alive when I'm being creative and writing has fallen under that heading. Love, Ya!

hi Sheri,

I can relate to your "finding something compelling to write about" What I've learned is that the stuff we don't see as so compelling probably is to someone else! Definitely work the blog posts! I just did a book review today and tweaked it for an article. That's working smart! Good luck! Keep going!

Hi Sheri! No worries on the St. Louis thing. I was born in "South" St. Louis, so that's close enough to Atlanta, right? Thanks for the friend invite! I turned in my first article today - only 99 to go!
