What's the Deal With the New Girl? Why Isn't She Writing?

Just a quick update for those who may be wondering why I haven't posted an article yet. Let me begin by saying, all things considered, I probably should not have taken on this challenge in the first place. It was just bad timing for getting started with such a formidable task. And no, I am not about to list excuses, I am merely stating the facts of the matter, some of which I wasn't thinking about during the heat of the moment that I accepted this challenge.

Today is March 31 and being a full-t… Continue

Hi Lynne,

How are you? I hope that all is well and that your writing is going well. I've fallen off the challenge wagon a bit for a good reason. My freelancing business all of a sudden took off and now doing client work is taking up all of my time. I do hope to be able to get back on track and catch up. The good news is that with all of the writing I'm doing I'm getting faster and more efficient.

Peace,
Evelyn

Lynne,

Hi...just checking in to see how your writing is going. I am sure you are swamped with work right now. I only finished and posted #2 yesterday and working on #3 hope to have it done and published by Monday, if not before.

Ok, here's a question that I have that maybe you can answer for me and you can make a quick 250 to 300 word article out of and post it at Ezine Articles.

I am a small busines owner, just me, S-Corporation. Because I am great at recruiting, but terrible at accounting, I decided to select a payroll service to do my books. I never know what I need to watch out for during the year, or what i need to turn in when. I especially forget what I need to give to my accountant at the end of the year, although she does send me a list. I think it would be so helpful to hear from an accountant's perspective what things a small business owner (and others) like me should be especially aware of, what we can write off, what type records we should keep, should we consider a payroll service or not, how to choose an accountant/CPA, etc.

Hopefully that gives you an idea. I guarantee you I am not the only one who would be very interested in those topics. You could break them all down into separate 300 word articles and then put one total document together as a give away or freebie to those who decide to sign up on your list.

Hope that helps! Let me know how you're doing!!! Have a great weekend!

Lynne,

Today I worked on my second article. Still need to finalize it, but I took my own advice and sat down for 30 minutes with a timer and made myself write on the topic I chose at random and did not get up until I heard the "ding". So Ifelt good that I did something to help get myself moving.

One other thing that helped me today....I went to the blogs area and noticed that there were other people there who said that they were feeling overwhelmed or stuck and were asking for advice. And then there were others who talked about what to do to overcome those issues. So you may want to try reading some of those for ideas/encouragement.

There is a group called "How in the Heck do I write 100 articles in 100 days?" that I joined within this HAHD area, and there are some good articles and blog post/comments in there too. Very encouraging.

Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing. - Sheri

Hi Lynne,

Greetings from New Jersey!

This is an exciting project. I look forward to connecting with you during our 100 Articles in 100 Days Marathon Challenge. The focus of most of my writing is supporting people, especially Baby Boomers, in work-life transitions. What's the focus or main topics of your your articles? I'd love to hear about it. Let's connect. Add as Friend. ~~ Anna D. Banks
