Writing Fast & Furious with a Timer Can Be Fun

Many copywriters suggest the use of a timer when you are writing and I agree that a timer can be very helpful. The question is what time do you set it for? I know that Lorrie Morgan-Ferraro ("RedHot Copy") recommends setting your timer for 33 minutes or between 30-35 minutes and just write like crazy until the timer goes off. She finds that she can't do much more than that uninterrupted. I believe that she learned the 30-minute writing session from John Carlton, and I've heard other people recom… Continue

An Idea with Traction: 100 Articles in 100 Days

You can really feel the excitement around this very big but achievable goal of writing 100 articles in a little over 3 months. I know I'll need to develop some new habits and do my research in a more focused way and a sense of urgency and not spend so much time exploring different topics without writing. I wonder how many people here have published a lot of articles besides Jeff, Felicia, and Keith. If there are quite a few, maybe we could form smaller groups of 8-12 people each with 1-2 more ex… Continue

Yes, that was my question on Jeff's teleseminar. I was concerned about putting out duplicate content, because I know Google will "slap" you for that. Apparently, according to Jeff, it's ok to put the same exact article on HAHD blogs as well as EZA. But if you put the article on EZA and then a link in your resource box back to your website or blog, the content on your website or blog must be at least 20% different to avoid the Google issue. Is that the way you understood it?

Hey David aka @Zendoc, Thanks for turning me on to this. Its a bit overwhelming even putting aside the fact I am starting some 20 days late but I am excited to be involved. I really appreciate all your support! Ok well I guess I better go take care of my stuff so I can get my first article written before noon

Happy writing!

Hey, David! I enjoy your writing too...what I am seeing on your blog here. I am so sorry to hear that you have had computer problems. Hopefully they will be fixed soon. If nothing else, maybe you could borrow a friend's computer for a couple of hours.

You are SO CLOSE to getting your first article out there on EZA! Here's an idea...write about the 3 biggest issues or mistakes you feel you have made or what has held you back in trying to write an article, with a few tips for your readers about what you have learned and what they can do to avoid them. Then just send it to EZA. I would like to read that myself!

That will get you going and then you can start writing the stuff you really want to. I have had to do that myself. The second article I wrote for this challenge really wasn't at all what I wanted to do, but it actually came out of the initial exchange and post I sent to you! To read it, go to http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Overcome-Writers-Block-in-Three-Easy-Steps&id=2148228.

You still have time to complete this challenge...all you need to do is to get started! You have a wealth of knowledge that I and others would love to hear about.

FYI...I am not far ahead of you. EZA just approved my second article today and I only have one more pending. So I have some work to do too!

Keep going and keep me posted! :-)

I see you are from GH, I'm on the other side of the "bridge" on Fox Island. This is a cool challenge.

Hi David,

Just checking in to see how you are doing on your articles. I just submitted #3 at EZA. I know I am behind in terms of the daily goal, but I can catch up. Just now getting the steam going.

Hope all is well,

Sheri

Great video choice. I have that on my favorites. Thanks for the support for the article problem.

I also have Sarks book for inspiration about writing. It has nothing to do with medicine which is probably why I enjoy it so much.

What is your concentration?

Thanks again for your support.

Dear David:
I just discovered a book you might really like--if nothing else, it would make a great book for you to review or discuss on EzineArticles.

It's called Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin. Very well written.

Discussion of man's development by a paleontologist who teaches human anatomy to first year medical students at U of Chicago. Paper.

Fascinating!

Dear David:
Regarding time it takes me to research, that's usually not the issue.

Once I come up with a title idea, the rest sort of falls into place.

What are the key questions you're asked about your topic? Answer one question in each article.

Who are the authors or experts who influenced you the most? Profile each one in an article, organized around 3 or 4 main points.

Speed will follow.

Roger
